Shearing Day

Well, I had the wonderful opportunity to join my friend at Nobella Farms for the shearing of her alpacas. We had a lovely time and I learned soooooo much about the animals. I swear, she is going to turn me into a total alpaca snob. The fiber on her animals is so fantastic, it becomes hard to match that same quality elsewhere! It makes me very hesitant to buy elsewhere because you just don't know! I came home with 4 pounds of alpaca seconds that could easily be prime fiber: 2 pounds of caramel from Carina and 2 pounds of black from Gaston.. yummy, yummy yummy... can't wait to dive in and start spinning!
